The baroque garden is open

The Liberec pearl of Baroque art is open again!

From the beginning of April until the end of October, you can see the most beautiful Baroque monument in Liberec every day – the garden near the Church of the Finding of Holy Cross.(Kostel Nalezení Sv. Kříže)

Directly in the garden rises the restored Marian Column with figures of saints and the Virgin Mary from the workshop of the important sculptor Matyas Bernard Braun, built as a thank you for saving it from the plague in 1680.

You will also find the Way of the Cross, which consists of fourteen alcove chapels. In the corner of the garden is the Chapel of the Holy Sepulcher from  years 1772 as a copy of the chapel standing in the middle of the Temple of the God´s tomb in Jerusalem. The chapel has been in a state of disrepair for many years, but last year it underwent a complete reconstruction and you can now admire its original beauty.

The garden is open from April to October every day from 08:00 to 19:00.

Church of the Finding of Holy cross (Kostel Nalezení Sv. Kříže) and the Baroque garden are part of the international pilgrimage route Via Sacra, which connects unique sacral works throughout the Trinity (Trojzemí).
