The neo-Renaissance Liberec Town Hall building was constructed in 1893, and was designed by Viennese architect F. Neumann. It is famous for its close resemblance to Vienna City Hall. In 2023 the Town Hall was declared a national cultural heritage site.

The theatre was built in the Neo-Renaissance style, according to the plans of Austrian architects Fellner & Helmer. A precious curtain created by Gustav Klimt decorates the interior. Currently, the theatre puts on drama, opera and ballet productions.

The station, the interiors of the Town Hall, the museum, the theatre and the streets of Liberec’s Old and New Town come alive as they set the scene for movies. So, it snows here in summer and the sun blazes in winter. The hands of the clock are turned back, the city travels back in time, and its streets welcome fictitious characters and some of history’s most famous figures.

Ještěd is an original building, admired in Czech Republic and abroad. At a height of 1012 meters above sea level there is a tower built in the 70´s by architect Karel Hubáček, which hides a television transmitter, a restaurant and a unique hotel. It is the only building in the Czech Republic that has been awarded by the International Union of Architects, it is a national cultural monument and at the same time a 20th century building. Part of the interior of the hotel and the restaurant gradually returns to its original form from 1973 when Ještěd was ceremonially opened to the public. The hotel rooms are newly renovated.

St. Anthony’s Church is one of the most beautiful churches in Liberec, and its tower, rising to a height of 70 metres, makes it one of the city’s dominant landmarks.

The Liebieg Town is the most distinctive example of Art Nouveau apartment buildings in Liberec. An employee housing estate built in the immediate vicinity of the factory was under construction from the mid-19th century to the 1920s.

MUZA - The North Bohemian Museum in Liberec is one of the biggest museums in the Czech Republic. The expositions of the Museum of North Bohemia focus on the field of arts and crafts and the industry of decorative arts, and also on the regional natural history, archeology and history.

Liberec railway station is located very close to the intercity bus station and the public transport stop, so you can easily use other forms of transport if you want. It takes around 25 minutes to walk to the Town Hall.

Liberec Regional Gallery is the fifth biggest gallery in the Czech Republic. It was established in 1953 and has been housed in the former municipal spa building since 2014. The gallery curates collections of more than 21 000 works of art from the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, France, the Netherlands and other European countries and is thus rightly known as the Museum of European Art.

The Harcov water reservoir, also called the Harcovská Dam or Liberecká Dam, is situated not far from the centre of the city, in the valley of the Harcovský Brook, surrounded with forest from one side and with a peaceful villa quarter from the other side.
