On Sunday, October 31, 2021, there was an accident of the cable car to Ještěd.
Unfortunately, the Czech Railways conductor did not survive the fall of one of the cabins, passengers from the other cabin were evacuated. The exact cause of the accident will be clarified by the investigation launched by Czech Railways, the Railway Inspectorate and the Police of the Czech Republic.
The cable car is out of order until further notice.
