Monument to the Fighters and Victims of the Fight for Freedom of the Country
This artwork does not conform with your traditional image of a monument as a stone statue. It is so unique that in 2001 the authors recieved Honorable Mention for Artwork in Architecture in the Grand Prix Obce architektů, the national contest for architects.

– not available –The monument is created by two wire net walls and it comes to life as a visitor enters. The lights and fans automatically switch on and electronic texts with dates and places of the fights that the monument commemorates run around. Soil from the battlefields of the World War II has been placed inside the monument. Moreover, the Monument to the Fighters and Victims of the Fight for Freedom of the Country is located in the park on a square which one side is closed by historical building of army barracks where the soldiers reside since 1867.
