Interactive memorial

The monument is created by two wire net walls and it comes to life as a visitor enters. The lights and fans automatically switch on and electronic texts with dates and places of the fights that the monument commemorates run around. Soil from the battlefields of the World War II has been placed inside the monument.

Memorial in the park near the barracks

Moreover, the Monument to the Fighters and Victims of the Fight for Freedom of the Country is located in the park on a square which one side is closed by historical building of army barracks where the soldiers reside since 1867. Nearby, there is the Linden of the Republic planted on one side, and the Lidice Pear Tree on the other, a direct descendant of the only fruit tree to have survived the extermination of Lidice in 1942.
