The Sphere
The futuristic Sphere not only mirrors the surrounding buildings, but as soon as darkness descends on the city, an unexpectedly mysterious sea of light awakens inside it, which also radiates out around it.

The two-metre-high Milan Houser Sphere gives the impression of having just rolled down the long hill past the Grand Hotel Zlatý Lev. The sculpture comprises two laminate hemispheres, with a 2.5 cm thick Plexiglas ring inserted between them. While the highly polished surface of the sphere reflects its surroundings in daylight, at night the central plexiglass gives off a bluish light from within, as there is a power source inside that comes on at the same time as the street lights.
