What to see:

The thirteen stops along the route will take around the darker parts of Liberec's past. We'll walk through places where the victims of wars and epidemics are laid to rest under the paving stones. We'll find out how Liberec was destroyed by floods, fires, and also mourned those who lost their lives in an avalanche. The city range to sounds of the hobnailed boots of Nazi soldiers and tanks of the Warsaw Pact "allied" troops rumbled their way through the streets. Bombs that blew up during failed assassination attempts. A plane that crashed on the Ještěd Ridge and a Liberec submarine that sank in the waters of the Bay of Biscay. The local border areas were torn apart by waves of hatred, with the people of Liberec retreating inland at one point, while just a few years later, the local residents were forced to flee across the border. The testimony of dark times is a memento, and some scars of Liberec's past can still be seen marking the city to this day.
