Let us invite you for a walk through Liberec´s New Town, where you can soak up the atmosphere of old Liberec. You can look forward to winding streets paved with granite, original half-timbered buildings, old houses of local weavers, imposing burgher houses, churches and a quiet residential villa suburb - all of that in proximity of the busy City Centre.

Which way to go:

nám. Dr. E. Beneše - Kostelní - Sokolovské nám. - Valdštejnské domky - kostel Nalezení sv. Kříže - Perlová - U Soudu - Truhlářská - Jungmannova - Metelkova - Okružní -  Barvířská - Papírové náměstí - Lucemburská.

What to see:

We'll be heading to places decked out with dignified churches and exquisite buildings with some fascinating architectural details, only to be replaced just a few steps further on by the houses of the Liberec's old weavers peeking out in the little streets. We'll see where the king of comedy Vlasta Burian spent his childhood. We'll take a stroll through the district of Keilový vrch, where fabrics were dried in days of peace and where one of the battles of the Seven Years' War raged in more troubled times. We'll then end the walk at Papírové náměstí, which the locals affectionately call "Stínadla", or “The Place of Shadows” after the tales by Foglar. This place, right here in streets lined with bars and restaurants, is just the spot to chill out with a glass of something cold.
