Although its production took various courses through its natural development, it has been brought to public as well as professional notice as a Czech puppet theatre of a very high quality for more than fifty years. The company of the Ypsilon Theatre also started its theatrical career here, later moving to Prague in 1978.

Nowadays, the production of the Naive Theatre focuses mainly on children and young people. The Naive Theatre organises the Mateřinka Festival, holding a fixed position in the calendar of European festivals and is visited by many guests from all over the world.

During a break or after a performance, visitors may take some refreshment in the bar or to have a look at an exhibition displayed in the foyer.
