Karel Hubáček in the North Bohemian Museum

Only until 6 October you can see the exhibition “Karel Hubáček Known Unknown”, prepared by the North Bohemian Museum on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of one of our most important architects.

The exhibition will not be limited only to his greatest architectural work – the Ještěd mountain hotel and transmitter. This will be included among his other remarkable, but less well-known to the public realizations of technical buildings, such as, for example, the water and meteorological towers in Prague.

The exhibition is also an exploration of the architect’s early work, which crystallized into the prized projects of the Cinema Máj in Doksy or the cultural center in Teplice. In addition to the correction of some traditional myths and inaccuracies, the exhibition also brings another strong line, which is Karel Hubáček as a personality with strong organizational talent with an exceptional ability to initiate and support the work of other colleagues of the architectural studio SIAL despite the unfavorable conditions of the socialist state establishment.

The exhibition can be seen June 13-October 6, 2024
The North Bohemian Museum is open every day except Mondays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Admission is voluntary.
