Gallery Liberec will welcome 14 new exhibitions this year. At the end of February, it will introduce internationally recognized Hungarian artist Zsófia Keresztes, in March one of the most established Czech artists of the second half of the twentieth century Milan Kunc, and in June it will bring a touch of Asia to Liberec with the famous Japanese calligrapher Koji Kakinuma. Employees of the Public Transport Company of Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou (DPMLJ), along with representatives of Boveraclub, set off together to visit a private museum in Mariazell, Austria, and acquire a new exhibit – an original Vienna tram car of type K No. 2329, built in 1913 at the Studénka carriage factory.
The tram was demonstrated as fully operational during test runs in Mariazell, and now awaits a thorough inspection in Liberec, followed by about a year of modifications for operation in local conditions. In 2026, it could join occasional operations on historical lines and special rides.…
