Ferdinand Porsche Birth House

The house which in 1875 saw the birth of Ferdinand Porsche, the famous automobile designer and also the creator of Volkswagen. This residential building also served as a place where Ferdinand´s father, Anton Porsche, run a prosperous tinsmith´s workshop.

The art of engineering

Four showcases in total present historical pictures of design and engineering skills – from the first tools to the latest inventions. Special attention is paid to Bohemia and the region´s long-standing tradition of excellence in technological development. 

Mobility

Examples of development documents, design studies and research projects to be reflected in cars of the future, while offering an outlook as to what tomorrow´s mobility might look like.

Family

Focused on the Porsche family, this part of the presentation features a big table full of reminiscences and historical milestones that tell the story about Ferdinand Porsche´s life in Vratislavice, Vienna, Vienna´s New Town, Stuttgart, Wolfsburg, Gmünd and Zell am See. Historical photographs form a gateway to a multimedia presentation about Ferdinand Porsche´s life and work.
