The Botanic Gardens Liberec successfully multiplied the unique Titan arum

Titan arum (Amorphophallus titanum) is a legendary giant among plants. World population of this plant (in nature and botanical gardens together) is much less numerous than the legendary giant panda. Titan arum count (though the exact number is not known) only in the hundreds of individuals, while the pandas through 2000.

It stands out the importance of a successful reproduction them whose seeds germinate according to current knowledge very well. No wonder they were interested in a botanical garden as far away as New Zealand, China (and a number of other countries’ gardens).

Congratulations to Liberec Botanic Gardens for fantastic success!
