Premiere exhibition in the new gallery
The new Liberec Gallery, which is located on the square nám. Dr. E. Beneše, is opening ceremoniously on Friday 29/6. The gallery is symbolically called the “Small Exhibition Hall”, which builds on the tradition of a gallery of the same name that was founded in Liberec in 1975.
PREMIERE EXHIBITION: FROM JEŠTĚD TO JEŠTĚD 50-45-40
The premiere opening in the newly opened Small Exhibition Hall of Liberec (Malá výstavní síň – MVS) is an exhibition about the phenomenon of two Liberec Ještěd – a hotel with a TV transmitter and a no longer existing department store. Both buildings are awaiting important anniversaries this year. On 9th July it is 45 years from the opening of the hotel Ještěd. The department store would celebrate on 1 December 40 years. Liberec architectural studio SIAL , which designed both buildings, celebrates 50 years. That is why the exhibition is called 50-45-40.
Opening hours:
Tue-Wed, Fri-Sun: 10:00-12:00 and 13:00-17:00.
Thu: 10:00-12: 00 and 13:00-18: 00 (each Thursday free entrance)
Admission:
Adults: 20 CZK
Reduced: 10 CZK (children 6-15 years, seniors over 60, handicaped)
Family (2 + 2): 40 CZK
Free: school groups, tourists with ticket from the city information center, all persons on Thursdays.
